What is CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. By purchasing a "SHARE" you are investing in our farm and in return we provide you with a weekly supply of fresh vegetables and herbs. This program allows us to have financial capital early in the season for seeds, marketing, equipment repair, new tools, etc. By owning a "share" in our farm you take on some of our risk, we are not immune to crop failures due to natural disasters, pests, plant disease, etc. However, becoming a CSA member has some real benefits for you. Your veggies are reserved at market, even if you arrive late. You get the “first fruits” of every harvest. You get to help build and sustain a locally owned business. Being a member of a CSA helps you eat seasonally by supplying you weekly with the best of what is regionally grown.

How our CSA Works

We will have your share packed in either a plastic bin which you will unload into bags or it will be packed in a wax box that you can take home and return to us the next week to re-use. We communicate regularly and you will have the option of modifying the contents of your box with the FARMIGO software. Owning a vegetable farm has made us healthier, and we think it can be a major blessing in your life too!

If you are unable to pay the full amount we would be happy to set up a payment plan for you. We will email you invoices and you can break up the balance into 2, 3 or 4 payments.  

If you are active duty military and have a scheduled PCS/ETS or deployment we can modify the end date of your Share and pro-rate the pricing

Cancellation policy: If you are unable to pick up your share, please have a friend coordinated to pick it up for you. If you are unable to pick up your share - please let us know 48 hrs in advance and we can arrange for you to pick up your share at the farm. With so much to coordinate this season we appreciate your assistance in helping us keep it all organized!

This is truly an investment in our farm. We ask that you stick with us for the whole season. If you are genuinely dissatisfied with our CSA program and decide to cancel, we will refund you a pro-rated amount. . 

What to expect

Sweeter Days Farm focus on growing the highest quality vegetables selected for flavor and nutrition. We grow lots of greens, roots and garlic. We specialize in lettuce, scallions, arugula, kale, radishes, carrots and beets. If you like salads, stir fry or juicing you have come to the right farm! We don’t grow pumpkins, strawberries or melons. We grow very limited quantities of summer squash, cucumbers, russet potatoes, okra and sweet corn

Spring - Lettuce, beets, carrots, fennel, kale, cabbage, kohlrabi, broccoli, radish, bok choy, chard, turnips, radish, leeks, cauliflower

Summer - potatoes, garlic, onions, eggplant, peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, collards, summer squash

Fall - sweet potatoes, squash, mustard greens, tatsoi, spinach, radish, arugula, napa cabbage, lettuce, carrots, broccoli

We try to include fresh culinary herbs in every share as well. We typically have chives, thyme, oregano, rosemary and sage

How much is a CSA?

Our summer CSA is 20 weeks, $25 per share, for a total of $500.

Do you offer payment plans?

We are happy to do one, two, or four payments - just send us an email at sweeterdaysfarm@gmail.com to inquire. If you need an even more flexible payment option we are open to that as well. Please just ask! We want our veggies to be affordable and flexible for everyone.

What if I can't make it to a pick up?

Please coordinate with a friend to collect your share or let us know ahead of time so we can arrange for you to pick up your share at our farm.

What if I get deployed or PCS/ETS? 

Let us know ahead of time and we can arrange a prorated fee for your share
